Lee Ann Whippen is a professional barbecue pitmaster and chef who has been involved in the barbecue world for over 20 years. She was born on July 5, 1971, in Marietta, Georgia, and grew up in the world of barbecue and competitive grilling. She started competing in barbecue competitions in 1992 and has won numerous awards, including several Grand Championships and Reserve Grand Championships.
In addition to her competition success, Whippen is known for her television appearances on shows like TLC's BBQ Pitmasters and Food Network's BBQ Blitz. She also owns and operates several barbecue restaurants, including Chicago q in Chicago, Illinois, and Whiskey Bent BBQ Supply in Lakeland, Florida.
